Dear Lola,
Christmas has come & gone with an explosion of celebrations,
laughter, parties & food, jam packed into three consecutive days.
Following Christmas, a little less than a week was spent at the home by the river
with family.
New Years Eve saw rides, ice cream for dinner, poppin’ fire
works & running in circles on the sand till we all fell over.
New Years Day saw a 4.5 hour nap from you as a result of
the previous night’s celebrations.
And now here we are on the 2nd day of this New
Year, and this morning as we waved goodbye to papa & his time off, we both
headed back inside a little unsure of what to do with ourselves.
It wasn't long before toys and books scattered the floor, and some
serious play time had begun. There were lots of moments this morning where I wanted to reach for the camera, as your cuteness & conversation were near
killing me.
But I didn’t.
Instead we played & sang & danced, and when
it was time for you to take a rest and we started packing away your things,
much to your surprise I stopped you.
Instead we read some more, you climbed into bed, and then I grabbed
the camera & took a few snaps of the things we got up to this morning.
To remember the fun & funny times.
Lining up all your dearest friends is a delicate process.
Naturally they must all take a bath in this tin of luke warm water & be thoroughly dried afterwards.
Duplo bakery set mixed with zoo set makes for an interesting scene
Galloping around the room to the beat of the drum.
Bed of books to be read as I pack away two weeks worth of washing
Your knitted band.
Tea is prepared in the kitchen
...for this exclusive tea party
Christmas gift from Omi is very, very loved.
You jumped on a piece of lego & cried.
The doorbell rang, freaking you out, at which time 20
minutes was spent with you clinging to my neck.
And to round it off, half an hour of cartoons were consumed.
All in all it was a wonderful little morning.
Your mama
